New York City & Boston

I spent around two weeks in the United States this spring. I was in New York City and Boston and tried to play around with a bunch of film types and lighting conditions. The pictures below were shot handheld in super low-light settings and partially rainy weather. PS: the Times Square shots are from 400 ISO ultramax film and — although this is famously the cheap, grainy, not-so-good-looking film stock — I absolutely love the way it produces this hazy, oversaturated look around high-intensity light sources. It really makes the reds, blues, and purples of NYC pop out!
